Visma acquires MIND4iT A/S, a Danish company that provides freelance consulting services. The acquisition strengthens Visma Consulting’s position within the IT consulting market in Denmark.
MIND4iT has 180 IT consultants and continues as a separate legal entity with Carsten Boje Møller as Chairman and Jan Larsen as CEO. The company will operate as a subsidiary of Visma Consulting.
Increased demand for freelance consulting services
The demand for freelance consulting services is increasing within both the private and public sectors.
- There is a demand for flexible people with high IT competencies to be involved in projects for a short or long-term period. The growth is strong among private companies, and the interest in freelance consulting services is also increasing within the public sector. Thanks to the acquisition, we can even better provide freelance consulting services as a supplement to our portfolio of system development and project activities to large public and private customers. Together, Visma and Mind4iT will attain a stronger market position, says Boje Møller, Managing Director of Visma Consulting.
-The acquisition will benefit both existing customers and consultants. With Visma’s wide customer base and involvement in agreements within the public sector, we will be able to deliver greater and more various competence. The acquisition provides several opportunities, says Jan Larsen, CEO of MIND4iT.
Freelancer as profession
-Thanks to the acquisition, we can even better adjust to the development in the labour market. We experience to a larger extent that young talents prefer to work more independently. Thus, we expect it will become more popular to work as a Freelancer, which gives us greater scalability and flexibility, says Møller.
